Meet the Youtopia Executive Team
Pam McMahon - Co-founder, Board of Directors Member, & Chief Marketing Officer
For over thirty years, Pam has been at the forefront of trends, tapping into her entrepreneurial spirit and delivering results.
In the mid 80's, Pam founded "Artison," a Los Angeles based sportswear company specializing in leisure wear decorated with one-of-a-kind art. Inspired by the company's success, Pam leveraged her knack for marketing and accepted the position of Director of New Business for Vertical Advertising, where she generated solid business for the next six years.
Pam's proven skills for recognizing trends led Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, a prestigious New York advertising agency, to recruit her as their Director of New Business. While there, she worked on multi-national accounts including Snapple, Kenneth Cole and Coach Luggage.
Impressed by her uncanny ability to secure new business, Gary Toby at The Hayworth Group lured her away from her post at Kirshenbaum and Bond to head up his New Business department. This was where Pam met the love of her life, legendary broadcasting talent, Ed McMahon, to whom she's been happily married for 12 years.
Using her talent for forecasting trends and her flair for creativity, Pam decided it was time to develop a product that would help people fight the battle she's been fighting all her adult life-sticking to her diet. Pam teamed up with her son Lex to found Crave Busters, LLC, where she serves as Vice President of Marketing and he CEO. Together they've developed Crave Busters, the first diet aid to block cravings on contact.
Driven by a desire to revolutionize the online diet, fitness, and weight loss market, Pam also co-founded Youtopia, Inc., a social networking company dedicated to providing consumers with a total solution for their health, diet, and fitness needs.
Pam McMahon spent years struggling with yo-yo dieting, the emotional toll of food addiction, and her status as an overweight woman in a size 2 world. She finally overcame her battles with food and weight by learning to value her true self and enjoy her life. Her widely-anticipated inspirational book chronicling her journey on the path from fat and miserable to happy and healthy will be launched in the spring of 2007. A www.youtopia.com-based community will accompany Pam's book release and offer an outlet for discussion on many issues and topics discussed in her book.
