Youtopia uses activities, points, badges, and leader boards to engage and incentivise your students.
Teachers, use our pre-built templates, or build your own set of activities for your students to perform. When students complete your activities, award them with points and badges to acknowledge their positive accomplishments.
Activities track any type of metric you desire. For example, a completed activity can track a unit of time (1 hour of volunteering), money (either donated, raised), or any other user defined unit (pages read, trees planted, apples eaten, problems solved, random acts of kindness, etc.)
Youtopia allows you to manage exactly how to award your students. As a manager, you create activities, decide how many points are awarded when it’s completed, how many times that activity can be completed, and by how many students. All activities require you (or someone you designate) to confirm they’ve been completed.
Managers have the power to reject, or confirm a student’s activities, as well as the ability to add comments and notes for the activity in question.
Badges are awards that are given after a student completes an activity. Customize your badges by choosing how and when a badge is awarded. It can be for completing an activity a certain number of times, or after a student earns a certain number of points, or a badge can simply be awarded by a manager whenever they want.
Youtopia’s entire gamification system can be customized to suit your classroom’s unique needs. You have the control. After all, no one knows your students better than you.
Easily organize your students into Groups (eg. Ms. Smith’s class, the book club, science group, etc.)
Activities are organized into themed Challenges (eg. Service Challenge, Health/Wellness Challenge, Reading Challenge, etc.)
By collecting students into Groups, you foster collaboration or spur competition.
Students can be in more than one Group at a time.
Your entire school can have access to your activities, or, you can create challenges that are only for certain groups.
Youtopia offers a powerful set of reports that managers can generate.
They’re the perfect way to evidence the power of Youtopia.
Reports can be run on nearly every facet of your school’s data:
• Units (hours, dollars, etc.)
Every Youtopia student has access to their own unique Youtopia Resume. It’s a verified character report that collects all of a students accomplishments in Youtopia including:
• Point totals
• Hour totals
• Activities completed
• Badges they’ve earned
• Legacy activities they completed before becoming a Youtopian
It’s a powerful snapshot about that students and all they’ve done while at your schools.
It’s perfect to share with parents, family members, administrators, and the community.
With just a click, students can easily share the good stuff they’ve done by posting their awarded badges on any of their social sites.
Social-media integration can be disabled at the organization level.
